Sabe's interface, while running in a browser, feels like a traditional application on your computer or tablet. When you log into Sabe a new main window will open on your desktop on in a new tab on your tablet.

Main Window

The main window will always be open on your desktop or on a tab in your tablet browser while you're logged into Sabe. You will be logged out of Sabe and all other Sabe windows or tabs will be closed when you close the main window. The main window contains a menu at the top that you will normally use to open other Sabe windows and tabs.


When you click on a menu item Sabe will execute that menu item and will add the name of that action to your Recent Actions data list. If the action is already in Recent Actions then it will be moved to the top of the list. You can double-click on the name of the action to execute it again or click on the button with the right arrow to move that action to your Favorites list. Your Favorites list will reload with your favorite actions every time you log into Sabe.


The Assignments tab will contains a list of Work Order Operations, Maintenance Order Tasks, and Project Tasks that have been assigned to you. You can right-mouse-click (RMC) on any of these assignment to record that you've started to work or have stopped working on one of them. If you indicate the you've started to work on a different assignment than the one that you're currently working on Sabe will automatically stop your work on that assignment and start your work on the new assignment. This provides as easy way to see what you've to work on and to record your time on each of your assignments.


The ToDos tab keeps a list of the reminders to which you have been assigned. Some of these may be associated with Customer, Vendors, Itemsites, or othe entities in Sabe. When a ToDo is assocated with a Sabe entity, the context menu will offer various options relating to that entity. The context menu will also allow you to mark the ToDo as complete, rechedule the ToDo, or, if you have the proper privilege, assign the ToDo to another user.


The Messages tab is where you can read and manage all of your Sabe messages. You may send and receive secure messages from other users in your instance, users from other Sabe instances, SabeSoft support. Sabe may send you system messages. Please see Sabe Messaging for more information.


Advanced users can enable console messages and track complicated processes such as replenishment order creation and updates of item costs and planning parameters via messages send to the Console tab.


The Launch feature of the main window allows advanced users to execute Sabe verbs directly and use Sabe's Command Line.

Opening Help

Many of Sabe's windows have dedicated help pages assigned to them. To open the help page for a window, press and hold the control key will you press the space key when the window has focus. If a help page is available for the window Sabe will open it in your browser. For example, when you press ctrl-space from the Main Window you are taken directly to this page.

Entity Manager Windows

Entity Manager windows allow users to add and view and maintain various of Sabe entities. There are two types of Entity Manager windows; list-based Entity Manager windows have a list of all memeber of a given entity type on the left side and detailed information about the current entity on the right. Single Entity Manager windows do not have the list and only the detailed information for the selected entity.

List-Based Entity Manager Windows

List-Based Entity Manager windows show you all of the members of the entity type in a scrollable list on the left of the window. When you click on a member Sabe will populate the detailed data for that member in the detailed information area on the right. If you'd like to edit the currently selected member and you have the required privilege, you can click on the edit button at the top right of the window. If no other user is editing the member at that time, the fields in the detailed information area will enable and you will be able to change the member's detailed data. When you are finished editing the member you will click on the edit button again, which has changed to a green check box, to save the data. If you wish to cancel your changes instead you can click on the abort button, shown with a red 'X', and the detailed inforamtion will be replaced with the original values and the fields will be disabled.

If you'd like to add a new member you can click on the green '+' at the bottom of the member list. The fields in the detailed information area will reset to their detail values and enable. Again, if you'd like to create the new memeber you can click on the green check or you can abort by clicking on the red 'X'.

To clock the any Entity Manager window you click on the red 'X' when the window is in view mode.

Single Entity Manager Windows

Single Entity Manager windows operate in the same was as do List-Based Entity Manager windows do but do not have a list of members. Instead, you will chose to view a given entity member via a context menu, click on the edit button to make changes to the member, the abort button to abort those changes and return to the original values, and the abort button, again, to close the window.
